What is the Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Committee (GT PAC)?

The Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Committee (GT PAC) is a group of Montgomery ISD parents who are interested in Gifted and Talented programs offered by Montgomery ISD.  The mission for the GT Parent Advisory Committee is to promote informed Leadership by empowering MISD educators and families with resources, tools, and to ensure an array of engaging opportunities that encourage gifted and talented students' passion for learning. The committee works with the Montgomery ISD GT Coordinator, Campus GTAs, school administrators, and Gifted and Talented teachers to ask questions and provide feedback related to Gifted and Talented programs.

What is the role of a parent member of the MISD GT PAC?

  • Support the mission and goal of the MISD GT PAC
  • Liaison between the campus and the MISD GT PAC
  • Be active in the MISD GT PAC meetings
  • Provide the MISD GT PAC with feedback on GT Programs

How do I sign up to serve on the MISD GT Parent Advisory Committee?

MISD GT Parent Advisory Committee members have already been selected for the 22-23 & 23-24 academic year. 

Each campus is allowed a maximum of 2 parent representatives. If more than 2  parents submit an application a selection will be made via a lottery.
